Weekend Recap

Here's how the weekend went:

-Friday evening we had a birthday party for our friend, Christine.  It was a great time!  Delicious food, drinks, and a bonfire!

-Christine's roommate made the cutest cupcakes.  They were chocolate with chocolate ganache and peanut butter frosting!

-We also got these awesome glow bracelets to sport during the bonfire.  And, played a game of "name all 50 states".  Thankfully we reached 50!  :)

-We didn't get home until almost 2:30 IN THE MORNING!  I can't tell you the last time we were out that late (clearly we've gotten old).

-Saturday we met our friends Carmen and Adam (they are from Michigan, but were here for the weekend) for brunch.  A bloody mary was my drink of choice after Friday night's festivities!

-We celebrated Wilma's adoption day/birthday.  She turned 8 this weekend!  We got her some treats and special food from Just Food For Dogs.  The pumpkin treats smell so good that I was tempted to try one, but I didn't (which I could have because their food is made from ingredients certified by the USDA for human consumption).  She definitely enjoyed her turkey and macaroni and has more to devour this week!

-Sunday we grilled burgers and sweet corn for dinner.  Thanks to Laura for reminding me of this recipe last weekend!!!

  2. My mouth is watering for those cupcakes! I was scrolling and saw that you grilled and I thought, I wonder if they had turkey burgers (that's before I scrolled to what you actually ate)! And sure enough :) I'm glad I could help with menu planning for one item!
